She walked into the room wearing a Chanel blue knee-length party wear.Teamed with YSL earrings,a Gucci handbag,a silver Cartier watch and a pair of white and black intricately styled  Christian Louboutin pumps, she was dressed to kill. All eyes were on her.Heads turned as she walked by.
She was the idea of perfect woman every girl wanted to be.She was the ideal woman every guy wanted to be seen with.
With her grey eyes,short-cropped brown hair, perfectly high cheekbones,a sharp aristocratic nose and a killer smile she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
She was walking into the room her head held high perfectly aware that her every move was being watched.Girls and other women were eyeing her enviously.
Most women of his acquaintance would have gotten self-conscious.But her stride did not falter even for a second. She carried herself confidently and yet with a devil-may-care attitude. She was shy yet bold. She was friendly yet shrewd. She was strong yet vulnerable. She was surrounded by people everywhere she went.God knew she was attractive.Yet there was a look of loneliness in her eyes.He could see that on her face.
She walked past him not glancing in his direction. She would stop occasionally to meet and greet her friends. Then she would again be on her way.He noticed that she walked past the bar.She walked right through the open terrace doors. The host for the evening had made it clear that the guests were welcome to continue the party on the terrace.
She just stood there breathing in the crisp London air.She was not wearing a jacket. She ought to be cold. But that did not seem to bother her.She was actually trying to not pay attention to the stares she was so accustomed to getting, bother her.
He could not see her face so he could not make out her expression. But she did not seem like the kind of woman who would pay a great deal of attention to something as trivial as this.
But something was wrong. He could sense the tension coming in waves off her body.
Logan decided to go on to the terrace and give her company. He started but stopped cold in his tracks. It was a painful reminder of the night he had lost Sara.He had wanted to help her but the plan had backfired and he had lost her forever.
But this somehow felt different, he argued with himself. Before he could talk himself out of this he started walking towards the open terrace doors.
He would have lots of time to contemplate his decision once he reached home. But for now, just this once, he wanted to forget everything and just be with her.

Friday The 13th

Ah the ominous day! The number many people actually have phobias about!!
Well you can count me in.Today was no less fun though.
Deciding to go for a movie and getting that very idea approved by 10 people is no mean feat!Trust me I know. One minute we are deciding we will go on Friday the next its Saturday then its Sunday,Monday ,Tuesday.well you get the drift. This is not a joke. This really happened.
All the characters are NOT fictitious and any resemblance is purely deliberate.
Well here goes..
At 7.00 AM we are deciding when to go for the movie.
The next thing  I know that plan is cancelled. The plan is back on again at 10 and cancelled at 2.
But mysteriously at 2.45PM  we are on AGAIN!!!
You can guess that this is going to be one long piece of s***.
So one of my friends and me make a dash to the theatre ,at 3PM, which is at a distance of 15-20 minutes by train and then another 5-10 minutes by auto rickshaw. We are going to get 9 tickets for the 3.30 show for a movie which has released just today. The ridiculousness of the situation never ceases to amaze me.So we reach at 3.15 and stand in queue for the tickets. Then suddenly my friend realises we don't have enough money to buy tickets. It seems she thought I have money with me which I knew from the beginning that I didn't.So we wait it out in line till our turn comes and then after asking the price get out. It's already 4.15 till the others arrive at the theatre. So it is decided that we will go for the 5 o'clock show. This is met with disapproval from some in the group.By this time I just want to go home and cuddle in my bed and go to sleep forever.I am drenched in sweat even though it is monsoon. This is clearly a common oxymoron you will find in Mumbai.
Not to miss out on the adventures my friends had while we were waiting at the mall.
They left college at 3.15 when we should have been sitting in the comfortable theatre in the air conditioner. So then some of my friends decide to reach the venue by cab in this monsoon season then realize they will never make it for the rest of their life. This is what happens when you are stuck in traffic in Mumbai.
Then there are the other goof-ups where different auto rickshaws are chosen for travel amidst all the confusion.Apparently they didn't know who was going with whom and ended up calling more than 2 rickshaws. Then got down from one and got in the other.
But this particular quote from my friend stands out as the best of the day,"Why don't you ask the ticket seller to give you'll the tickets and pay the money later??"Really???
But in the end all this was totally worth it.We grabbed some cokes, french fries and burgers and settled down to watch the movie. After such a long gruelling day we made ourselves at home for the next two-and-a-half hours. The tickets were worthy of  being worshipped.
'Today we had fun'-this is clearly an understatement of the millennium.Believe me we had fun.
Oh by the way did I mention the movie was Cocktail?

Chic chicas

Everybody is talking about it.Everybody is following it.Everybody is definitely watching it.
I'm talking about the 'F' word. Before imaginations start running riot let me clarify I'm talking about Fashion. Yes,it definitely is the most happening thing around.
Everywhere you look it's there. You can't escape it.
There are loads of magazines solely reporting fashion from various fashion capitals-be it Vogue,W,Elle,Marie Claire,Harper's Bazaar,Look or InStyle.Well, these are just some of them.
Fashion capitals are booming everywhere in every country-London,Paris,New York,New Delhi,Mumbai,Kolkata,Milan...the list goes on and on.
But what is amazing is that fashion nowadays has not restricted itself to women.Even men follow fashion.GQ anyone?
It just goes to show that it has started shaping up our lives.People make their first impressions and the impressions after that based on the clothes you wear and how you carry yourself in them.
The first thing that comes to mind when fashion is mentioned is the movie 'The Devil wears Prada'.
Style has evolved and trends are followed religiously.
An average women going to work wears smart-looking navy blue pencil skirt,a crisp white blouse and a jacket teamed with black Christian Louboutins. In the evening she swaps the white blouse for an orange blouse with orange peeptoes.Add on a black belt and you are set to party.
A teenager wears a beige coloured short dress with a red jacket teamed with brown ankle length boots.
A mother may wear a yellow tank top with blue denims and comfortable walking shoes and take her tot for a walk.
Well this is just to say designer brands or celebrity fashion doesn't matter as long as you know how to dress up for an occasion.
I personally don't follow trends or go shopping every month but wearing decent clothes is fashion, wearing affordable clothes is fashion.
Dress up or dress down is your choice but no matter where you go you are being watched.

Its been a loooonng time since I updated my blog.Actually it should read "since I wrote anything".
I am still wondering what went on this past year.Lots of happenings and there was barely time to register them. Some sad some happy.
Well in the first place I don't even know what made me stop writing. But I'm glad to be back.
This is just one of those times when I'm loving what I'm doing and not just for the sake of it.
Of course I don't have any training in blog writing or I don't even know if I am good at it.
Going by my follower's list I wouldn't bet on me being good. But in between being impatient and just a little bit diffident I would still choose this over the other mandatory things in my life.
This time I want to do things a bit differently though.I would love to write random but compelling stuff.
It does get tedious to write everyday about everyday stuff. But updating with exciting things every alternate day works just fine.
Anyway after being away for so long I'm not even sure what I'm writing. But as long as it isn't that absurd I'm going to go on and on and on.
